The thread listed for sale is not faulty and is still in good usable condition and is suitable for it's intended purpose. The marked down price may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
the labelling on the spool is obsolete
the base of the spool holder is damaged
the spool wrap may be marked or missing
the outer thread may be slightly marked
the stock is a discontinued line
